Hockey Continue To Spread Their Mind Chaos In 2010 With Tour Dates In 9 Countries

PORTLAND, OR. (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) - Portland Oregon's Hockey pick up in 2010 right where they left off in 09', touring the globe in support of their debut album Mind Chaos. After a string of west coast dates, the foursome will play shows in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain and the UK before returning home to headline a club tour starting March 11th in Minneapolis, MN at 7th Street Entry (full schedule below). The band's new single 'Song Away' impacts Alternative radio on February 9th. The video for 'Song Away' was named one of the best videos of 2009 by iTunes as part of iTunes Rewind 2009. Hockey's breakout first single 'Too Fake' reached >5 at alternative radio and still being spun at many stations around the country.

Hockey played their first New York City show last January and have since toured the globe non-stop. They've toured the UK three times, played U.S. festivals SXSW, Sasquatch, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and CMJ, almost every major European festival including Glastonbury, Hove, Peace and Love, Eurockenees, Solidays, Oxegen, T In The Park and Gurtenfestival, Leeds and Reading. They have performed on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,' Fuel TV's 'Daily Habit,' and on 'Later With Jools Holland' and 'Live From Abbey Road' in the UK. Hockey's 'Live From Abbey Road' appearance will air in the U.S. on the Sundance Channel on March 26th. They received an MTV European Video Music Award nomination for Best Push Artist. Spin Magazine named Hockey one of the best 9 moments of Sasquatch and also named the band's SPINhouse Live performance during CMJ one of the best 12 sessions of 2009. Hockey was also featured as one of MTVu's up and coming artists as part of the channels 2009 Ahead of the Curve program.

Formed in Los Angeles five years ago by founders Ben Grubin, lead singer, and Jeremy 'Jerm' Reynolds on bass, HOCKEY is now based in Portland, Oregon as a quartet with Brian White on guitar, and Anthony Stassi on drums.
