NY (Top40 Charts) - Superstar rapper-actor DMX is set to return to his recording career after taking a break to pursue his acting career. A two-year break between releases is typically no big deal, but when an artist releases his first three albums within the span of 24 months, a two-year break can seem enormous. DMX has done just that and is now set to release a much-anticipated fourth album, The Great Depression, on September 25.

The rapper is joined by legendary singer Stephanie Mills on "When I'm Nothing," and the sultry Faith Evans on "I Miss You," a tribute to his deceased grandmother presented in the form of a letter. Other guests on the set will include Mic Geronimo, Mysonne, Drag-On, and Big Stan.

The Great Depression was produced by DMX, Chad Elliott, Javonn Alexander, Dollar Bill, Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze, Dame Grease, Black Key, Kidd Kold, and P.K. The first single from the set will be "We Right Here," which is already garnering spins at urban radio.

Musically, DMX has enjoyed a great deal of success--his 1998 debut album, It's Dark And Hell Is Hot, has sold more than 4 million copies to date. His sophomore set, Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood, sold more then 3 million copies, and his last album, ...And Then There Was X, recently broke the 5 million copies mark.

The tentative tracklisting for The Great Depression includes: "Sometimes," "School Street," "Who We Be," "Trina Moe," "We Right Here," "Bloodline Anthem," "Shorty Was Da' Bomb," "Damien III," "When I'm Nothing," "I Miss You," "Number 11," "I'ma Bang," "You Could Be Blind," "The Prayer IV," "A Minute For Your Son," "Problem Child," and "Sh-ts Still Real".
