LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Mbop Promotions) - Like that slice of lime which lifts a bottle of Corona in the after-work beer garden, magnetic London-based quintet The Munroes' debut offering Rainbow Sun is the perfect accompaniment for hazy, lazy days spent whiling away the evening as dusk sets in. Christened after towering frontman Robert Munro Runciman, this initial cut is taken from The Munroes' debut album Dying To Be Re-Born - set for release later this year. Dripping in Ralph Tibber's Byrdsian guitar licks, which shimmy over Italian ex-pat Michele Camasso's breezy percussion, Rainbow Sun is a beguiling taster of what's to come.

Already acclaimed by Liam Gallagher and The Libertines - who drafted them in as support at their Rhythm Factory reunion last year - the indie-rock upstarts weave glam rock, punk, blues and old-style American R&B influences to make up their own musical tapestry.

They have divided the last year acquiring a fierce live reputation on the London circuit with working with esteemed producer Mike Bennett (Ian Brown, The Fall, The Specials, The Stranglers) on their forthcoming LP.
Currently in the middle of curating their monthly night, Rock N Roll Aint Dead, at Camden hangout Tommy Flynn's - The Munroes' Rainbow Sun is ready to light up your summer.
