KRS-One & Greenie Accuse The United States Government Of Terrorism

Oakland Gardens, NY (Top40 Charts/ KRS-One Official Website) - It's not the first time that controversial rapper Krs-One a.k.a. 'The Teacher' has gotten into 'trouble' over his remarks about the United States government. Now he's released a new single (and album) available on CDBaby.com (and soon on Itunes) with a White rapper from Queens, NY named 'Greenie' who questions the U.S. government about the killing millions of innocent civilians around the world to 'end wars.'

The title of the single is 'Real Terrorism' and the Krs - Greenie rap duo essentially argue that the U.S. government's argument that the murder of civilians in conflicts such as World War II was a 'necessary act' in order to 'end war and save many more lives' is "no different than any terrorist today who kills American civilians hoping to achieve the same thing for their own cause."

In a recent interview, Greenie told reporters "sure, they use what we call barbaric fighting methods but we have advanced technology and they don't..." Put another way in his song lyrics, "If I lived in a hood where ONE family (the U.S.) had all the guns.. and hardly any other family had even one.. and the one with the guns pointed them at our homes...then me and the neighbors would go get some sticks and stones!...'

Based on high download sales and a bit of Internet blogging, it appears to be an interesting argument arousing some conflict among right-wingers while winning smiles from the consistently defiant hip-hop audience...

Greenie remarks that in 'Real Terrorism,' it was his goal with Krs-One to have us consider that "by committing genocide on the Indians, the often violent slavery of Africans, the intentional murder of hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians, the killing of innocent Iraqis, the raping of Vietnamese women, and the torture of others...(plus the slaughter of Mexicans to take Texas, the destruction of Bikini Atoll for atomic testing, etc;)...are we really not terrorists ourselves? And if we aren't terrorists, then where, exactly, is the line between 'terrorism' and 'justice' really drawn? " These are the kinds of questions that Krs-One and Greenie pose in and it is topics such as these that have made this new hit album become regarded as 'highly controversial'...but...that's probably what Krs-One [and Greenie] wanted...
