New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Ricky Skaggs, the 14-time GRAMMY winner whose inspired and inspirational album 'Mosaic' will be released August 24th,on Skaggs Family Records, recently spoke to the New York Times' "Popcast" about the album.

Skaggs worked with fellow GRAMMY winner Gordon Kennedy (Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, Bonnie Raitt) to create an album that mixes elements of country music with Beatles-esque melody and lyrics.
On 'Mosaic,' Skaggs and Kennedy take mandolin, banjo, acoustic guitar and violin and mix them with percussion, a hammered dulcimer, a string section, bagpipes, a bouzouki, electric guitar, keyboards, slide guitar and more.
