New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The Low Anthem have confirmed a January 13 performance at Lincoln Center's Allen Room as part of the prestigious American Songbook series. Announced today, the 2011 American Songbook series will also feature performances by John Doe, Shara Worden (of My Brightest Diamond), Bebel Gilberto and others. The Low Anthem will hit the road next month for a string of east coast dates with Emmylou Harris followed by dates with the Carolina Chocolate Drops in December.

Since the release of their critically acclaimed Nonesuch debut 'Oh My God, Charlie Darwin' The Low Anthem have toured with The Avett Brothers, Iron and Wine, The National, and The Swell Season. They have played Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Brooklyn's Prospect Park and returned to the Newport Folk Festival for the second year in a row this summer. Of that performance NPR.org said The Low Anthem won over the 'crowd's affections with their gorgeous mix of folk, rock and wrenchingly atmospheric ballads.'

The Low Anthem spent much of the year working on the follow up to 'Oh My God, Charlie Darwin.' More details on the new album to be revealed soon.
