New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rick Taylor Official Website) - Niagara Falls native Rick Taylor returns to his Hamilton stomping grounds for a rare show. Since moving back to Southern Ontario three years ago, after twenty three years in Vancouver, things have been on a steady roll for Rick - who many consider to be one of the finest roots and blues fingerstyle guitarists on the scene today.
For two years running, Rick Taylor has been selected by The Great Lakes Blues Society to represent them in Memphis Tenn. at The International Blues Challenge.

With three solo CD's under his belt, Taylor's 2010 blues release "Lucky Room" has seen international acclaim piling up, and is receiving heavy airplay - continuing to chart for over 44 weeks in USA and Canada on Roots Music Report.

Many lovers of roots and blues music will remember Rick Taylor for his stellar guitar work with legendary singer/songwriters Willie P. Bennett, Colleen Peterson and many popular performers during the 1970's hay day of the Southern Ontario folk music scene. After "international renaissance man" Leonard Cohen saw Rick perform in Niagara-on-the-Lake when Rick was just 18, he spirited him off to New York City. Rick spent a year in New York playing eight instruments in the pit band for Cohen's off-Broadway show "The Sisters of Mercy."

Taylor was a regular performer at Campbell's Coffee House, Knight II and the Festival of Friends in Hamilton.

Rick looks forward to a 2011 summer full of festivals and plans are underway for a US Tour, an Asian Tour and a European Tour.

Rick Taylor's CBC "Canada Live" show will feature an all-star line up with some of the finest roots musicians around -
Bucky Berger on drums, Terry Wilkins on bass, Ed Roth on accordion, Paul Fleming on saxophone and piano, along with Katharine McEwen on back up vocals. Hamilton's own Tim Gibbons will be opening the show.
