Joshua Tree, CA (Top40 Charts/ 4 Entertainment) - Indie rock band FireBug will be recording their upcoming album with producer Chris Goss (Queens of the Stone Age) during the month of December. The yet-unnamed album is scheduled to be released in the 2nd quarter of 2011 in time for their summer tour. Goss will be working with FireBug in his famous Rancho de la Luna recording studio in Joshua Tree. In recent interviews, Goss has remarked that FireBug is one of his top picks among underrated bands for music fans to check out.

About Fire Bug:

Forged in the storied Wicker Park section of Chicago by vocalist Juliette Tworsey and guitarist Jules Shapiro, FireBug began cutting their musical teeth in and around local Chicago venues before making their way out to Los Angeles, where they've added drummer Ty Dennis and bassist Adam Levy.

Since arriving in Los Angeles, FireBug has become a part of the essential club scene sharing the stage with many artists including Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), Abby Travis (Eagles Of Death Metal), Donita Sparks (L7), unplugged sets with new folk artist Jesca Hoop (Tom Waits), and even performing with classic 60's folk icon Donovan. The band has also received high praise from various publications such as Time Out NY and LA Weekly. They have been voted best international band by the UK's Exposure Music Awards two years in a row (2009 & 2010). In 2010, FireBug toured the UK, including London venues such as The Dublin Castle and Rhythm Factory, and a memorable performance at the 2010 Sonisphere Festival Knebworth alongside headliners Iggy Pop, The Cult, Iron Maiden, Papa Roach, Alice In Chains, and many others.

FireBug has over 60,000 friends following the band on MySpace. Their sound has been compared to that of a new millennium version of 70's rock, with each song being stamped with their own unique signature.

About Chris Goss:

Chris Goss has produced and worked with a variety of artists, including Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots, The Cult, The Duke Spirit, Scott Weiland, Russell Crowe's 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, Screaming Trees, Mark Lanegan, The Flys, Fatso Jetson, Ian Astbury, Kyuss, Kik Tracee, among others.

Although he may be best known for his production efforts (as well as guesting on countless recordings by other artists), Goss is also the singer/guitarist of critically acclaimed retro rockers Masters of Reality.
