Santa Monica, CA (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) - Eminem, the biggest selling artist of the 2000s, has kicked off a new decade with another extraordinary achievement as iTunes today announced Recovery (Aftermath/Interscope/Shady) as the best-selling album of the year in its Rewind 2010 roundup. iTunes Rewind 2010, now live on iTunes, reveals the year's biggest-selling music, movies, TV, apps and more.

Eminem's sixth consecutive No 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, debuting at the top spot and racking up seven weeks at No 1, Recovery has sold more than 5,600,000 copies worldwide. The album also debuted at No 1 on both the Rap and R&B/ Hip-hop charts.
In addition, Recovery nabbed the No 1 slot around the globe, from Australia and Austria to Greece, Canada and the U.K. Eminem has sold more than 85,000,000 albums worldwide to date.

Eminem has also been nominated for more Grammys (10) than any other artist for next year's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, including nine thanks to Recovery. Along with nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, "Love The Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna has been nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video. "Not Afraid" has been acknowledged for Best Rap Solo Performance as well as Best Rap Song. Eminem has previously won 11 Grammy Awards.

"Not Afraid" became the 16th song in Billboard history-and only the second hip-hop single-to debut at No 1 on the Hot 100. "Love The Way You Lie" debuted at No 2 and then hit No 1, becoming Eminem's fourth No 1 on the Hot 100.
