New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Everett Bradley Official Website) - Early raves have run for Everett Bradley's funktastic 'Holidelic' CD, with respected NY POST/Hollywood Reporter critic Frank Scheck raving via his new 'Scheck On The Arts' blog, ""Not since
James Brown's Christmas Album has there been a Yuletide-themed collection as funky as this," adding that the CD is "relentlessly fun and joyful". With five big Holidelic shows set to kick-off at Joe's Pub (12/17-20,) tickets are already going fast, for what New Yorker Magazine previewed as "a flashy, bass-heavy retro-futuristic take on the holidays." TIME OUT NY called the upcoming performances a "Holiday Funk-tacular," and featured the show in their 'AntiHolidays Holiday Round-up' in this week's issue. TheaterMania's Andy Propst buzzed that the CD features "pulsating rhythms that bring to mind the work of funk and soul greats like Sly Stone and P-Funk."
Perhaps summing up the above sentiment, critic Wildy Haskell noted, "Everett Bradley is becoming an institution." On Saturday morning, NBC-TV will include Holidelic as a "Best Bet" on their Entertainment Segment with TIME OUT NY. Holidelic will also be previewed by Joe Dziemianowicz in The NY Daily News. Also, JUST CONFIRMED!!! THE B52's FRED SCHNEIDER WILL BE A SPECIAL GUEST AT THE SUNDAY NIGHT PERFORMANCE!!! Please see all show and CD details below.

Everett Bradley's Holidelic
Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Bradley takes the stage in a concert-cum-record-release-party for Holidelic, in which he leaves no yuletide theme unfunked. Wigged out and often accompanied onstage by fab guests, the star puts on a show in which '70s soul trumps the season's usual treacle.
SCHECK ON THE ARTS - CD review
By Frank Scheck https://scheckonthearts.com/blog6.php
Not since James Brown's Christmas Album has there been a Yuletide-themed collection as funky as this latest release from Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/actor Everett Bradley (Broadway's Swing). Featuring mostly original songs as well as very loose adaptations of Tchaikovsky, "Frosty the Snowman," "Little Drummer Boy" and the like, Holidelic is a relentlessly fun and joyful disc that recalls the glory days of George Clinton's Parliament/Funkadelic. Bradley and his cohorts will be performing music from the CD at a series of five shows at Joe's Pub on Dec. 17-20, including a family matinee on Dec. 19 at 2:00 pm that will surely have the kids dancing in the narrow aisles. For more info on the shows, go to www.joespub.com or call 212-967-7555.

Everett Bradley - Holidelic (Big Black Booty Records)
Listeners might feel the need to break out their polyester for this 1970s-style celebration of everything Yule. Bradley's tunes will liven up anyone's familiar mix of music with pulsating rhythms that bring to mind the work of funk and soul greats like Sly Stone and P-Funk and clever conceits that put a fresh spin on familiar sentiments and conceits. Among the standouts on the 15 tracks are "New York Sleigh Ride," an incredibly catchy toast to an urban Christmas; "Sugar Rump Fairies," an oh-so-adult twist on Tchaikovsky; and "Fro Ho Ho," that finds the spirit of the season might just begin with a new 'do.
WILDYSWORLD - 4.5 STAR CD review By Wildy Haskell
https://wildysworld.blogspot.com/2010/12/everett-bradley-holidelic.html
Everett Bradley is becoming an institution. Bradley insinuates 1970's and 1980's groove, R&B and funk into character acting to transcend performance art on his holiday album, Holidelic. Prince, Sly & The Family Stone, George Clinton all have influence on Bradley, but the GRAMMY nominated performer takes it all to the next level in the character of Papadelic. Holidelic explores the holidays, family dysfunction and and whole lot of rump-shaking in a dynamic performance that is hardly traditional but a whole lot of fun!

Check Out Holidelic, Funk-Driven Holiday Fare
Sunday, December 19: Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, producer, actor and dancer Everett Bradley brings a performance as eclectic as his monikers to New York City's Joe's Pub in his funk extravaganza Holidelic this evening. The soul-fueled, holiday-inspired fare - reminiscent of P-Funk and Sly Stone - offers up a welcome departure from the typical Yuletide cheer with original songs that celebrate diversity, embrace family dysfunction (amen!) and firmly encourage some holiday booty shaking. A 14-song, fan-supported album, also entitled Holidelic, was released earlier this week; pick it up here. And head here for additional information and tickets to tonight's 7:00 PM ET show at Joe's Pub (there is also a 2:00 PM matinee). - Joseph Hassan 12/10
BEACON PASS - Show preview

This is holiday spirit like you've never seen it before! (Unless you've attended a previous Holidelic show, an annual event since 2002.) Your host for the evening is Papadelic, the alter-ego of Everett Bradley, a singer who has worked with such artists as Bobby McFerrin, Jon Bon Jovi, Carly Simon and Hall & Oates. His fun, energetic collection of soulful funk songs celebrates diversity, individuality and good old holiday cheer. Papadelic and his ten-person band break it down with fresh takes on holiday classics and brand-new classics-in-the-making such as "Santa Bring the Funk" and "Sugar Rump Fairies." Naturally, the musicians filling the stage have the requisite flashy costumes, big hair and serious skills. Come celebrate the holiday season by shaking what your mama gave you!

More about 'Holidelic':
Holidelic blends the musical influences of 1970's and '80's funk and soul bands in original songs that celebrate diversity, mild familial seasonal dysfunction, individuality and holiday booty shaking. Since its inception in 2002, Everett Bradley's sold-out performances have featured a range of artists from Living Colour's Vernon Reid, hip hop's John Forte to pop chanteuse Lucy Woodward, dancing trombonist Jonathan Arons, and the legendary Celeste Holm; celebrating uniqueness and diversity with the power of the groove as his common denominator. As the songs and audiences grew, so did Everett's contemporary wide-eyed look at the Holiday season, and Holidelic was born. Visit www.holidelic.com for more information, or to order the CD.
About the New Album:
The fantastic new 'Holidelic' CD was fan-financed via Kickstarter, as Bradley's supporters demanded a recorded version of some of his infectious original grooves. The album was released on 'Black Friday,' November 26th.

More About Everett Bradley:
This Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, producer, actor, dancer has been gracing New York with his multi-flavored art for the past 14 years. He has done just about everything from touring and performing in and out of the studio with musical giants like Bobby McFerrin, Jon Bon Jovi, and David Bowie to being the musical director for Carly Simon and for the last 3 years has been a permanent fixture in the Hall and Oates band as a vocalist and percussionist. Abroad, he has topped the charts in Europe with his dance classic, "I Luv U Baby", and was the first American to perform and direct the British percussive sensation "STOMP." He was co-writer, co-arranger, Theatre World Award winner, and star of the hit musical, "SWING," which won a Tony and Grammy-nomination for best Broadway Cast recording! Everett's first full length CD, AS EVER IT IS, received rave reviews from both Billboard and People magazine and the haunting ballad "Whadify" was featured in the closing 2001 episode of Dawson's Creek. His 2002 all original Holiday CD entitled, "TOY," is a joyous, funky, collection of new Christmas tunes. This self produced album features duets with Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora, siren Ann Hampton Callaway, and trumpet great Chris Botti. On the flip side, Everett is also the musical director of Our Time Theatre Company, an artistic home for young people that stutter, where he teaches singing, drumming, and songwriting techniques. Everett currently has a co-written show running at the Caldwell Theater in Boca Raton, Fl called Vices: A Love Story. His new album and holiday show, "HOLIDELIC" will be featured at New York's legendary Joe's Pub in December.
