Chely Wright is the latest major recording artist to proudly add Club Skirts Presents The Dinah to her touring resume. The newly-Out 39 year-old musician with a Nashville pedigree and a repertoire filled with No 1 Billboard charting hits will be trekking to the Sunny Oasis on Friday, April 1, 2011 to deliver an exclusive live concert at The Riviera Resort and Spa, which recently underwent an estimated $90 million rejuvenation becoming the epic and contemporary deluxe Mecca for high-end world-class travelers.

Named one of People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People", FHM's Sexiest Women in Music, the Academy of Country Music's Top New Female Vocalist and recently snatching the coveted title of Out Magazine's annual "100 People of the Year 2010", Chely Wright earned another prestigious title earlier this year as the first major country artist to officially come out.
The "Shut up & Drive" hitmaker made history by publicly announcing and acknowledging she's a lesbian " quite an uncharted territory for country music as there's never been a major star in this genre - often considered socially conservative - to reveal his or her homosexuality.
"It's a little known fact but lesbians are avid Country & Western music fans. We are beyond pleased to showcase Chely, applaud her courage and celebrate her entertainment career. Her announcement, which came the same week that her memoir, "Like Me: Confessions of a heartland Country Singer," and her first album in five years, "Lifted off the Ground," were released, made national headlines. Wright was invited on some of the major daytime, primetime and late night talk shows including Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, The View, Larry King Live, and on NBC's Today Show (the most widely watched morning talk show on network Television), among many others, to share her personal struggles and heartfelt story.
Now riding a wave of success since bravely coming out of the closet, Chely Wright is touring the country in support of her commercially successful seventh album produced by Rodney Crowell and her Random House published memoirs, entitled "Like Me". The singer will also host a special book-signing event prior to her concert, on Friday afternoon at the main pool area at the Riviera Hotel.
She's also founded this year the "Like Me" charity organization providing assistance, resources and education to LGBT individuals and their family & friends, staying within the socio-political zeitgeist of the current Anti-Gay bullying movements in the likes of "It Gets Better" and the MTV affiliated "Love is Louder" for which she's already lent her support to.
As Chely Wright readies this spring to grace the stage of the Riviera Spa & Resort for Club Skirts Presents The Dinah, and perform in front of thousands of her screaming fans, Dinah attendees, in the meantime, will surely be fine-tuning their vocal chords readying to belt out the singer's 1999's girl-power rallying anthem, "Single White Female."
