New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ K&K Public Relations) - Cash Money/Universal Motown Grammy-winning, multiplatinum hip-hop icon Lil Wayne has announced that "6 Foot 7 Foot,"the first single from his forthcoming album, THA CARTER IV, will be released to radio and available at iTunes on December 15, 2010. Lil Wayne will kick off the countdown to the release of THA CARTER IV, due out in early 2011, by performing "6 Foot 7 Foot," produced by Bangladesh, on NBC's Saturday Night Live on December 18, followed by New Year's Eve with Carson Daly on December 31.

THA CARTER IV is the hotly awaited follow-up to Lil Wayne's ninth album, 2010's I Am Not A Human Being. Propelled by the hit single "Right Above It,"featuring Drake, which is quickly approaching platinum certification, I Am Not A Human Being soared to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, in addition to topping Billboard's Digital Albums chart, Rap Albums chart, and R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The close of 2010 finds Lil Wayne capping off an outstanding decade that included selling more than 10 million records and earning eight Grammy nominations for his multiplatinum 2008 album, Tha Carter III, which shattered records by selling over one million copies in its first week of release.
