CANNES, France (NRJ) - The Darkness and 50 Cent have just been announced as performers at this year's Brit Awards taking place next month in London.
Duran Duran will also receive a special award for their "Outstanding Contribution" to the British music scene.

In other European awards show news, Madonna and Britney Spears have been confirmed as performers at France's annual music honours, the NRJ awards. The awards take place next Saturday in Cannes, and will also feature Dido, Kylie Minogue and Seal.
