Hemoptysis Nominated For Best Metal/Hardcore Song By Independent Music Awards
PHOENIX, AZ (Top40 Charts/ Hemoptysis Official Website) Phoenix based Hemoptysis and other self-released and independent label talent have been named as Nominees for The 10th Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent bands and fans. Hemoptysis has been nominated in the Best Metal/Hardcore Song category, for "Shadow of Death".

Representing the broad spectrum of today's global independent music scene, the more than 300 Nominees in nearly 70 Song, Album, Music Video and Design categories were culled from submissions from North America, South America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

Winners will be determined by a panel of 62 influential artist and industry judges including Ozzy Osbourne, Andrew W. K., Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour), Anthony DeCurtis (Rolling Stone), Pat McGuire (Filter Magazine) and Evan Schlansky (American Songwriter) and will be announced in mid-March 2011. Music fans have until July 11 to cast their votes at The IMA Vox Pop Jukebox to determine the fan-selected IMA Winners. Past winners include All That Remains, who won Hard Rock/Metal Album in the 9th IMA for the album "Overcome".

In other news, "Misnathropic Slaughter", the full length debut from Hemoptysis will be released on March 8, 2011. Worldwide pre-orders are available now at www.misanthropicslaughter.com. All pre-orders include an autographed 5x7 photo of the band, and Hemoptysis guitar pick.

Reviews of Misanthropic Slaughter:
"Misanthropic Slaughter" reflects a band fully shed of any stylistic overlaps; Masaki's gravelly rasp has been honed to a gritty, saw blade edge
very much his own, and the music screams not of mimicry but intelligent adoration of the immortal rip and shred. A- Brian Davis www.Metaleater.com

"Of all the unsigned bands I've heard over the last 3 years or so, they are without a doubt the band that has it all together..." Rated 9 out of 10 Scott, www.Hookinmouth.net

"...this is some of the best Oldschool Thrash Metal I've heard in a long time...It's incredible how an unsigned band like this manages to sound
better than lots of signed bands." Rated 9 out of 10, Guido, Dose of Metal

"...they up the ante in the American thrash department." Rated 4 out of 5, xMAIDENx, www.stereokiller.com

"Have Hemoptysis managed to deliver the goods? Hell yes!" - Rated 90 out of 100, Loucifer, Loucifer Speaks

"Gawddamn this shit is brutal and I'll safely say that I'll be mopping up the drool pools left over from my jaw being on the floor for the last few hours spinning this one !!!!!!" - Reviewed by Janet Willis, www.hellridemusic.com
