Comedy Central Taps Kid Rock To Headline Next Roast
Santa Monica, CA (Top40 Charts/ COMEDY CENTRAL Corporate Communications) COMEDY CENTRAL announced today that Kid Rock is set to join the likes of Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson as COMEDY CENTRAL's next Roastee. During Kid Rock's illustrious career as a performer, there has yet to be a single audience that could prepare the five-time Grammy nominee for the vicious onslaught of sharp barbs that will be thrown his way when he takes center stage for the "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Kid Rock." The event is scheduled to tape on Sunday, August 14.

Currently on tour with Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock came to prominence after releasing his debut album "Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast" in 1990. Since then, he has released eight more albums, received various music awards and attained five Grammy nominations. He has performed at venues including the Grammy's, VMA's, CMA's and Hip Hop Honors, but most notably entertains U.S. troops overseas on various occasions in conjunction with his charity support for Operation Homefront.

The "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Kid Rock" will be executive produced by Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who was also executive producer and director of the "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast's" of Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Joan Rivers, Larry The Cable Guy, Bob Saget, Flavor-Flav, Pamela Anderson and the Emmy-nominated "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of William Shatner." Elizabeth Porter is the executive in charge for the network.
