Meekos & Me To Release Debut Album 'Anxious Little Turtles' June 21, 2011

Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ MT Press) The band is fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist, Joey Colando, and classically trained cellist Danny Grab. The all-American Indie band draws from several musical genres including jazz, pop, Americana, folk and rock to make their highly anticipated release, "Anxious Little Turtles".

The duo teamed up with producer Joshua Rumer, who's creative influence fully pushed the limits of variety among individual songs, without sacrificing the integrity of the groups sound, or storyline of the record as a whole. Colando explains, "We wanted the album to tell a story, not too specific of a story, but one that allows the listener to participate by filling in their own details, and I think we've been successful. Some tracks further the narrative, while others are reflections on the past, or speculations about the future."

Joey's luring vocals matched by Danny's smoldering cello licks, mixed in with an array of percussion styles, soft guitar riffs and spacey synthesizers, set the band apart from other musicians to date delivering sublime and unconventional tracks.

"Animals In My Room", the first single off "Anxious Little Turtles" showcases a variety of their sounds with a lovely pop melody combined with folk elements that are simultaneously distinct, uplifting, and catchy.
