The song's nomination, performed by "Gangstagrass," featuring T.O.N.E-z, was a historical moment for the Emmys and also for the Hip Hop/Rap genre.
The highly respected Elmore Leonard, author of the novels that were adapted into the series, was truly impressed by the "Gangstagrass" song and went as far as stating that they "created a new form of music." "Gangstagrass" takes two types of music that are opposites and mixes them together brilliantly in a way that is natural and enjoyable."
Since the Emmy nomination, T.O.N.E-z has been unstoppable, stepping back into his musical sanctuary and doing what he loves most, making music.
