Kanye West To Launch Women's Clothing Line At Paris Fashion Week
NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) KANYE WEST is staging his debut catwalk show during Paris Fashion Week and has hired London-based designer Katie Eary as one of the creative leads.

With his Jay-Z collaboration, Watch the Throne, available in stores and online, Kanye is shifting his focus to fashion. According to reports, the Chicago rapper is prepping to launch his women's fashion line at Paris Fashion Week on October 1. He's been working on the line with Australian Harper's Bazaar fashion editor, Christine Centenera, since last March. The line itself was designed by Louise Goldin, and it's not clear how much creative input Kanye had.
No name for Kanye's collection has been released yet. As fans ponder what the "Otis" rapper may send down the runway, video of his failed TV pilot has made its way to the Internet.

Fellow British designer Louise Goldin was mooted as creative director of the venture when rumours began, but West has never confirmed any details. Eary, who launched her career in menswear before adding womenswear to her repertoire in September 2010, is known for her bold, bright, eye-catching designs.
The famous rapper had originally planned to showcase his collection as part of the New York schedule, but has postponed the event until the final week of fashion month - although no set date has yet been announced.
