L. Marshall Releases 'The Wait' Mixtape
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music UK) Following huge support from the station, 24 year old L. Marshall announced the release of his debut Mixtape 'The Wait' live on DJ Target's 1Xtra show this weekend.
The Mixtape can be downloaded for free at: https://lmarshall.bandcamp.com/album/the-wait

L is one of the most prolific and creative talents to emerge from the UK scene in recent years. L was born in London to an English father and Nigerian mother, he moved to Brazil aged 3 and then on to Nigeria at 10 before returning to London 6 years ago. The diverse upbringing has influenced him to blend the different styles which make up his sound.

L got his first break in January 2011 when he featured on Wretch 32's number 4 debut single 'Traktor'. He immediately penned 'How we roll' for Loick Essien which hit number 2 spot in the singles chart. Since then he has written for Kelis, JLS, Mz Bratt, collaborated with Maxsta, Roxxann, Benny Banks, and Sincere.

Performing with Wretch 32, being a featured artist on the 2011 Bigga Fish tour, and performing at respected live events such as ILuvLive and YoYo's has set the scene for a string of tour dates in 2012.

Despite all of the previous achievements and opportunities, the release of L's debut mixtape 'The Wait' encapsulates an introduction to L the artist and his forth-coming body of work. From the Dubstep influenced feel of 'So Cold' to the snarling Grime sounds of 'Beast', to 'The Wait'. A 4 and a half minute audio prologue, almost a manifesto of his intent for success accompanied by the Emil Nava directed video.
