New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ TCOOO) Originally dismissed as a rumor, the Jamaica Constabulary Force is now admitting that embattled Deejay Vybz Kartel did indeed escape from the New Horizon Adult Remand Centre early this morning. The Deejay was captured within two hours after his escape according to Assistant Commissioner of Police Les Green, and is now back in lockup under heavy guard.
Shortly after an alert was issued about the escape, the Deejay was spotted by off duty officers in a check-out line at a mega-mart in Kingston. Upon approaching the Deejay, he informed the off duty officers that he intended on returning to the correctional center and only wanted to pick up a few items.
Among the items in Kartel's possession at the check-out were ambi bleaching cream, seven bars of cake soap and a copy of the "I Survive" CD by reggae star Boom Viniyard.
Assistant commissioner Les Green said that it seems like Kartel got inside help from unscrupulous officers. "It seems like his cronies were able to bribe one or more of our officers, such behavior will not be tolerated, and the officer(s) involved will soon be dealt with.
