South Florida Reggae Big-Band The Resolvers Releases New Music At Art Basel Miami Beach
Miami, FL (Top40 Charts/ Mango Music Management) Starting Thursday, December 1st thru Sunday, December 4th, Miami Beach, Florida hosts the 10th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, the most prestigious art show in the Americas. More than 260 leading galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa will take part, showcasing works by more than 2,000 contemporary artists.

With so many artists exhibiting their works this weekend, South Florida reggae big-band The Resolvers decided it would be the perfect time for their first release since their 2008 debut EP "H'amsa". Their new single, "Out Of My Frame", is being released today and available for free download online. The sound draws influences from classic Jamaican reggae, rocksteady, and ska along with New Orleans jazz, funk, and soul. Vocalist Sahara Smith shines on the track, which serves at the lead single from their upcoming "Big Band Reggae EP".

One of the distinguishing factors of the new single is that it has no overdubbing (a technique used by studios to add supplementary recorded sound to a previously recorded performance) and is a complete take. The sound is organic and true to their live performance, resulting in a listener experience true to what happened in the room. The band has also released an accompanying video that allows the audience to connect with moments of studio and live performance. A full preview is available at OutOfMyFrame.com, the official homepage for the single being released by Floribbean Entertainment & RSLV Records, distributed by Empire Distribution.

Despite their lack of release frequency, the band has a strong local following and maintains a rigorous live performance schedule of more than 120 shows a year. Over the past three years, the group has shared the stage with the likes of The Wailers, Yellowman, Matisyahu, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Julian Marley, Ky-mani Marley, English Beat, Mishka, and Inner Circle. In fact, earlier this year the Grammy winning reggae quintet Inner Circle, known in the mainstream for their hits "Badboys" and "Sweat", alongside the Abebe Lewis Marketing Group and Kulcha Shok Music, collaborated with The Resolvers on a movement known as The Reggae Wave. This project, recorded at Miami's own Circle House Studios, will be available for free in the near future and features other local reggae groups including 4th Dimension, Jahfe, Mixed Culture, Roots Shakedown, Skafyah, Spred The Dub, and Stampede Movement.

Fittingly, the Resolvers' official artist, Marc Paper Scissor, will also be actively participating in Art Basel Miami Beach. Paper Scissor is best known for his work with cut paper. He uses only color cardstock paper, regular scissors, glue sticks, and sharpies to create his art. Marc Paper Scissor will be exhibiting at Multiversal Miami, where more than 120 artists will showcase their best visual and performance works under tented and open-air space. Their media will span fine arts, live art, sculpture, urban art, installations, photography, body painting, fashion and film festivals. Around the artwork will swirl a vortex of belly dancers, fire dancers, acrobats, exhibitionists, and extemporaneous theater — all to the rhythm of live and recorded music. The show will have a tented space and outdoor exhibit, conveniently located in the heart of Miami's Wynwood Art District next to the Dorsch Gallery.

Art Basel Miami Beach has been held annually since 2002 as a city-wide event. Along with promoting adjoining fairs and associated events, organizers of Art Basel Miami Beach boast that it has eclipsed the original Art Basel (Switzerland) in size and popularity, if not importance, even though they have not surpassed the attendance figures for the original. Art Basel Miami Beach is expected to attract more than 40,000 attendees this year. For The Resolvers, they look forward to interacting with their fans one at a time. "Members of the band, including myself, will be appearing at numerous exhibits and events around town, both promoting the new single and supporting other artists," shares The Resolvers' lead guitarist and vocalist Ron Yosef Eisner.

The Resolvers will perform on Saturday, December 3rd as part of the Aleloop'a Palooza Music, Dance and Performance Festival. Their set is scheduled for around 9PM, with the party running from 6:00 PM to Midnight at the Food Trucks Lot in Wynwood at NW 2nd Ave & 23rd Court. Aleloop'a Palooza is the culminating event of pop surreal artist Aleloop's Mobil Art Installation, featuring 10 MINI Coopers wrapped in custom artwork by Aleloop and 40 flash mob perfomers. Partnering with Sakaya Kitchen, Aleloop'a Palooza will feature bands, singers, dance crews, a magician and jugglers, along with 35 of Miami's finest food trucks, and is expected to have attendance of over 10,000. Aleloop, aka Alejandra Leibovich, has exhibited her art at Comic Con San Diego, Optic Nerve at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, G40 Art Summit, Art Whino, Art Link International, Pop Santa Fe, Lunar Boy Gallery, Multiversal, and many more.
