NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Brian Wilson and his band will perform five dates in Japan next month. A spokesperson for Wilson said the singer-songwriter is anxious to perform for audiences in Japan, telling: "The Japanese fans just love him over there." This visit will mark Wilson's second tour there - his first was in 1999. Wilson is scheduled to play September 20 and 21 at the International Forum in Tokyo, September 22 at Geijyutu Hall in Nagoya, September 23 at Sun Plase in Fukuoka, and September 25 at Kouseinenkin Hall in Osaka. Wilson's summer tour with Paul Simon, which wrapped up in New York in July, was a huge success. Fans can visit Wilson's website (brianwilson.com) to see photos from the tour. In related news, Wilson has been busy writing songs for a new album that he hopes to release in 2002. Upon his return from Japan, Wilson will take a much-needed rest, spending time with his family.
