CHICAGO, IL. (Hai Rez Promo Team) - Ms. Scott is coming to her native hometown of Chicago to perform with Hai Rezolution, a Tropical Caribbean Jazz band originating from New York featuring the Jazz styling of Sherry Scott.

Ms. Scott, formerly one of the original members of Earth, Wind and Fire is returning to perform with Hai Rezolution during the Festival of Life, July 2nd through 4th at Washington Park.
During this visit to Chicago Ms. Scott will be promoting her newest style of Jazz with an Afro-Caribbean flavor. Since her sojourn to the East Coast in search of a Mambo orientated sound Ms. Scott has relocated herself at the head of a Mambo/Salsa/Caribbean orchestra for her Jazz styling. The blending creates a unique "new" sound which she is rolling out this summer July 3rd & 4th in Chicago at the 2004 Festival of Life in Washington Park.
The backing band Hai Rezolution is produced and lead by Dwight "Dr Mambo" Brewster who has vast experience performing various Caribbean styles. As a founding member of Dr. Buzzards original Savannah Band, Salsa's Willie Colon and his first orchestra as well as Producer and musician for Kalyan (dance Jazz from Trinidad) are just a few examples of Dwight's cross style abilities.

Hai Rezolutions' magic is in their ability to use a "Mambo Format" to perform some exquisite Mambo/Salsa/Caribbean Jazz music. How the group blends Classic R&B and Smooth Jazz, Stepping Music with Mambo and Caribbean rhythms is amazing. The blending produces serious Jazz as well as some fantastic dance music. With the core group of musicians friends for years, these individuals have developed a unique style that can only be learned through the combinations of music as played in the streets of the Bronx or Brooklyn NYC on any given summer day.

The music Hai Rezolution orchestra produces fits squarely into the Mambo/Salsa/Caribbean Music genre. Combine this with Sherry Scott and her Jazz vocals which range from the AACM through Earth Wind & Fire we begin to get a handle on our possibilities for worldwide appeal. An excellent example of roots blending Hai Rezolution is an international model for world (African) music. Its members hail from such diverse locations as Japan, Barbados BWI, Puerto Rico, Eastern Europe, Jamaica WI and the USA.
The creation of a new international "world music" sound starts right here with Sherry Scott and Hai Rezolution.
