New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 12 To 6 Movement Official Website) Combining a perfect blend of fun yet street smart rhymes with hard-thumping, trunk-rattling, Midwest production, "Titties Out" is the highly anticipated Hip-Hop album from The 12 to 6 Movement. Carefully crafted for the last two years, a majority of the beats are created by Jay E and Koko, the platinum-selling duo behind
Nelly and the St. Lunatics' signature sound, with the remaining tracks coming from Matt Sawicki, DJ Urban One, and Gravy Cutlass. Combined they create a sonic backdrop that is nothing short of outstanding.
Transcending their Midwestern roots, they have enlisted rap legends from every corner of the map including
Raekwon (Wu-Tang) representing the East Cost, along with Keith Murray (Def Squad), Killah Priest (Sunz of Man), Sadat X (Brand Nubian),
Joe Budden (SlaughterHouse), and Pyscho Les (The Beatnuts). From the West Coast, they joined forces with A-Plus and Opio (Souls of Mischief) and Planet Asia (Cali Agents), and last but not least,
Bubba Sparxxx bringing up the Dirty South.
The 12 to 6 Movement is also proud to feature local St. Louis talent Jia Davis, Ray Goss, County Brown, and Scripts n Screwz on the 15-rapper posse cut, "Thug Doubts." Other stand out features on the album include appearances from young phenom violinist, Gareth Johnson, silky soul singer JG Gates, and world famous rockers Dan Marsala (Story of the Year) and Jason Holler (Kentucky
Knife Fight) who each add their own touch that will hook all demographics and music listeners and bring an eclectic edge to what promises to be one of the most powerful projects released out of the Midwest in many years.
The 12 to 6 Movement is a Hip Hop group from St. Louis that is heavily involved in the St. Louis underground rap scene since 2007. Consisting of Spark1duh, JusTime and Ser Lesson, The 12 to 6 Movement released 3 albums as a group in addition to several solo albums over the last 5 years. They teamed up with Matt Sawicki at Treehouse Treehouse and Suburban Pro Studios in 2010 and got to work on the Titties Out LP and several videos, including "Can't Be Done (Cardinals Remix)" which was filmed on location at Game 7 of the World Series and garnered attention from local television and radio outlets. Sawicki's talents as a sound engineer and video director have captured the best of the St. Louis trio's unique abilities and character.
Group Quotes
Scott "Ser Lesson" Rivers - "It was awesome being able to make my dream project with my favorite emecees and producers, this album goes hard"
Jayson "Koko" Bridges - "Working on the 12-6 album was like working with a cheat code. Five years ago this album would have cost a couple hundred grand, but with hard work and connects it cost a fraction of that. It's truly a good look for STL Hip Hop and independent artists who invest in making moves for their product"
Justin "Jus Time" Mitchell - "I know the album title 'Titties Out' may throw some people off, but it's not just about girls flashing their breasts like it's Mardi Gras. It's about having fun and being carefree, not worrying about the opinions of the people hating around you, but just enjoying the moment."
Jason "JayE" Epperson - "An amazing group of guys that have their own lane in the Hip Hop community. They take the St. Louis sound into a whole new direction"
Matt Sawicki - "One of the rawest, grimiest Hip Hop records I've ever been a part of. The Toblerone of Hip Hop. "
Jason "Spark1duh" Karr - "Ten years ago, I could never have imagined being on such a monumental album with so many Hip Hop Legends. Dreams do come true kids"
