NEW YORK (Concord Records) - On September 14, 2004, Concord Records will release ON THE MOON, the highly anticipated second CD from the 21-year-old pop/jazz singer and pianist Peter Cincotti. Reunited with Grammy winner Phil Ramone, who produced Cincotti's chart topping debut album, the singer and pianist puts a contemporary, unique and undeniably infectious twist on such classic pop and jazz standards as "I Love Paris", "St. Louis Blues" and "Some Kind of Wonderful." Cincotti also demonstrates his talents as composer and arranger on this album. Whether it is on one of his own compositions such as the title track, "On The Moon," or the fresh and original spin he gives to Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Bali Ha'i," Peter's distinct musical voice resonates throughout this recording.

Peter Cincotti became one of the hottest pop and jazz sensations to hit the scene in 2003, when his self-titled, critically-acclaimed debut CD hit the top of the Billboard charts. His many appearances on network TV and his year-round touring across the globe established him as a certified star.
Even Hollywood beckoned with a cameo appearance in "Spider-Man 2" and a featured role in the upcoming Lion's Gate film "Beyond the Sea," based on the life of Bobby Darin. The film, directed by and starring Kevin Spacey as the famed singer, also stars Bob Hoskins, John Goodman, Brenda Blethyn and Kate Bosworth.

Throughout his whirlwind rise to fame, Cincotti has continued to develop his skills as a singer, songwriter, pianist and arranger. Producer Ramone says, "He performs other writers' material while expanding his quartet to include orchestration, seeing and hearing the music from all perspectives. It is clear that quality music and lyrics lead the way. Peter's curiosity and desire to spread his musical wings are unstoppable. It's great to be a part of his career."
Howard Kissel of the NY Daily News summed it up best when he declared, "The only thing you can say about Peter Cincotti is that he's sensational."
