Bill Howard had been watching his son's band perform on the main Pyramid stage at the festival where they were one of the headline acts, just before he collapsed in the early hours of Monday morning. It is believed that the sixty-two year old suffered a heart attack and police have said that his death was not being treated as suspicious in any way. Muse have cancelled their show in Bergamo, Italy tomorrow but have not yet announced cancellations for any of their other upcoming gigs. A statement released on behalf of the band asked that the Howard family be allowed to grieve in private. "In this dreadfully difficult time, we request that the privacy of Dom's family and friends is respected," the statement said. This is the second death at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Earlier in the festival twenty-four year old Neil Clinnings was found collapsed in a car park outside the festival site. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
