Joyce Sims new release includes seven new tracks with remixes and displays the versatility of Ms Sims and it combines R&B, Club Dance Remixes with a touch of Smooth Jazz!
Ms. Sims has been touring in
Europe and will begin the second leg in Surrey at Imber Court on June 2, The Happy Days Festival in Dudley on June 3, 2012 with additional dates to follow.
The EP is released on August Rose Records with distribution through label Vessel Worldwide Music.
A number of renowned DJ/producers joined with Ms. Sims with regard to the short collection -- UK production team The Soul Garden worked its magic on a "Back in Love" remix, while Hungarian DJ/producer Tom Noize created a funky "Running Back to You" club mix. Joyce also worked with her good friend, legendary engineer/producer Elia Tubo on a "Running Back to You" mix. Tubo has produced tracks for Run-D.M.C., Eric B. & Rakim, and Angie Stone.
Joyce Sims is noted for her classic hits "All and All," "Lifetime Love," "Come Into My Life," and has enjoyed a successful career and reviews from her last UK trip in February is that her voice sounds better now than when she began 25 years ago!
As Ms Sims is entering 25 years in the business, she is working harder than ever with plans for an album release this summer, a release of her 25th Anniversary Album late fall and surprise holiday EP. Combine that with her touring schedule and plans to expand her business label with new artists release's and talks of a new show (top secret, details to follow) it is a busy year for the R&B/Dance Dvia.
As Ms. Sims has been creating hits for 25 years. In 1987, her debut album "
Come Into My Life" charted top 10 Billboard R&B and was certified Gold in the UK. Singles "All and All" and "
Come Into My Life" have become club anthems and are still being played on mainstream radio stations across the globe. All songs were written by Sims except for "Love Makes a Woman." In 2006, Sims returned to the charts with the single "What the World Needs Now" from the CD "A New Beginning," which allowed her to work with hit maker producers
Junior Vasquez and Glen Friscia of "Friscia & Lamboy." The single "
What The World Needs Now" debuted at #19 and climbed into the top 10 on the Billboard Club Play Chart and you can expect the same greatness from Joyce's new EP "Running Back To You / Back In Love"!
