CHICAGO, IL. (Top40 Charts/ eMusic) Think music makes you happy? At the Pitchfork
Music Festival in
Chicago July 13-15, you can know for sure.
Digital music discovery-and-download service eMusic believes there's always more to discover in a song or a story that makes listeners appreciate music more. That's why at this year's Pitchfork
Music Festival, eMusic will simulate festival goers' curious musical minds through the creation of a massive outdoor experience called the "eMusic Electromusical
Energy Visualizer (3EV)" - an otherworldly space where listeners can literally see the impact of the Festival's music on their personal 'aura.'
Anyone attending the festival can stop by, see how their favorite music affects their mood, and find their own music match. They'll even walk away with the photos to prove it. Those who aren't attending the Pitchfork
Music Festival this year can still see the 'auras' of their friends, artists and eMusic's editors on Facebook.
"One of the things that makes music so special is that it can soundtrack just about any occasion," said J. Edward Keyes, eMusic's editor-in-chief. "Certain songs can remind you of everything from a childhood memory to an old friend to the classic rock and roll standby - the bad breakup. And sometimes nothing can lift your mood quite like hearing your favorite song.
Music plays such a big role in all of our lives, and we're really excited to see this idea come to life at Pitchfork."
Visitors to the 3EV experience will hear music from various Pitchfork
Music Festival performers through headphones and literally see a visual representation of their auras based on their reaction to the songs.
Photos from the3EV will alsobe uploaded to eMusic's Facebook page in real-time at Facebook.com/eMusic. Attendees can share their photos with friends on their Facebook Timeline and on Twitter (#eMusicP4K), so anyone, anywhere can see the amazing effects.
Find out more on the 3EV experience at eMusic.com/StartExploring, featuring:

Music Festival along with videos of aura readings of bands playing at the festival
3EVis a part of eMusic's Explorations campaign, created to reveal new musical insights. eMusic Explorations began in December of 2011 with a series of films designed to show how the music of innovative artists stimulate the minds of listeners in unexpected ways. The 3EV experience is the first live musical exploration created in conjunction with NY-based creative agency, Mother Experience.
