New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Purple Revolver Official Website) The 2012 Sea Festival comes to a triumphant conclusion on Saturday, Sept. 15 with a "retro" festival unlike anything you've ever experienced. Purple
Revolver celebrates 60s, 70s and a touch of the 80s popular culture with a 21st century slant at
Rainbow Lagoon in Long Beach. The family event infuses classic rock, Bohemian fashions and vintage automobiles along with gourmet food trucks, beer, karaoke, celebrity look-a-likes and a three-acre festival. Check www.purple-revolver.com for information.
Classic Rock is one of the grooviest attractions at Purple
Revolver which features live performances by three renowned Tribute Bands. Kicking off the festival is Britain's Finest, an authentic and immersive multi-act re-creation of the best-selling band of all timeāthe Beatles. Next up is
Queen Nation, a tribute to the iconic and legendary arena rock band
Queen and Freddie Mercury. Headlining Purple
Revolver is Led Zepplica, delivering a stunning rendition of one of the most influential rock groups, Led Zeppelin.
Food and beer play an important role at Purple
Revolver with one dozen gourmet food trucks offering an exciting and eclectic mix of cuisine. From the upscale burgers at Baby's Badass to exotic dogs at
Dogzilla and Asian fusion at Komodo, there is something for everyone. Participating trucks include After School Special, South Philly Experience,
Rebel Bite and Tornado Potato. Pyramid Breweries' Apricot Ale takes center stage in the beer garden, providing attendees with a refreshing "must have" beverage.
Pop Culture permeates the festival with a "look-a-like" contest featuring icons from the 60s and 70s. Categories include Television Shows, Pop Icons, Musicians, Singing Groups and Superheroes. What's old is new again as venerable cars from the 60s and 70s - GTOs, Mustangs, Camaros and Chargers - sit alongside today's siblings. Tricked out Hot Rods,
Custom Roadsters and famous TV show cars add to the atmosphere. And catering to the eco-friendly generation, a number of popular "green" cars join the celebration.
