The Grammy-nominated rock group AS I LAY DYING will release their sixth album, AWAKENED,
September 25 on Metal Blade. The group has premiered a third studio update via The GauntletHERE. The clip shows guitarist PHIL SGROSSO working on the title track, "Awakened," while recording the group's latest release in Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO with renowned rock producerBill Stevenson (Descendents) and mixerColin Richardson. AWAKENED marks the follow-up to the DecasEP(2011) which reached #2 on the iTunes Rock Chart. The group's last LP, 2010's immensely successful The Powerless Rise, debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at #10. The Powerless Rise also reached #2 on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart and #3 on Billboard's Hard

In touring news, AS I LAY DYING has just confirmed they will be performing at the California Metal Fest 6 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA on Saturday, November 24. This October,AS I LAY DYING will launch a European tour with Trivium, Caliban and Upon A Burning Body before returning to the U.S. in November for a nationwide tour. Expect AS I LAY DYING—NICK HIPA (guitar), TIM LAMBESIS (vocals), JORDAN MANCINO (drums), SGROSSO (guitar) and JOSH GILBERT (bass)—to announce a full U.S. tour soon.
