New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Teenage Chopshop Official Website) Gainesville, Florida based punk band, Teenage Chopshop, has announced today, the release of their new EP, "EVIL TWIN". Set to release on December 8th, the album will be a five track, concept album, about two characters named "Agatha" and "Eden". The band plans to produce the album themselves from their home studio in Gainesville. They are set to start recording on November 1st.
Teenage Chopshop, a relatively new band, recently relocated to Gainesville, from the St. Louis area. After seeing local success from the release of their first self-produced EP, the band decided it was time to move on to bigger and better things. The band is now settled into their new home and has begun to explode onto the indie music scene on a local, and national level. They currently have a project being featured on Kickstarter.com, in attempts to raise money for their new release. Teenage Chopshop also has a score of local shows booked all over Northern and Central Florida up until the new year to promote their new EP.
Charlie Fehrenbacher, the precocious band-leader of Teenage Chopshop, was quoted as saying the EP is, "promised to be a hypnotizing blend of punk rock and mellow shoegaze, with a touch of dark folk music." Fehrenbacher, the founder, and frontman for the band is ecstatic for the new release, as it will be the band's first major event in Florida. He expressed that the band's goal is to reach their Kickstarter goal and then make the new EP a smash hit from Florida to New York.
Teenage Chopshop, is one of the hardest working bands on East-coast. The band is obviously moving up and is determined to turn a few heads in the process. With their independent, do-it-yourself attitude, Teenage Chopshop is obviously heading for great things!
