LOS ANGELES (www.inacoustic.com) - IAMA (International Acoustic
Music Awards) promotes excellence in Acoustic
Music Performance and Artistry. Acoustic artists in various genres can gain exciting radio and web exposure through this competition.
IAMA is open to all independent artists and labels. Unlike other music industry competitions, IAMA focuses on developing new markets for Acoustic artists, labels and CD releases.
Win prizes in 8 different categories: Folk, Americana/Roots/AAA, Instrumental, Open (any Acoustic style), Bluegrass/Country, Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Group/Duo. There will also be an Overall Grand Prize awarded to the overall Grand Prize winner.
This awards is all about exposure. Winning songs will be heard on Acoustic Café radio show, which has over 1 million listeners. Winners and runner-ups will be featured on a compilation CD.
In addition, entrants have a chance to get featured and promoted on IAMA website every month under 'Featured Artists of the Month', which features 10 different artists each month, providing reviews, ratings, CD information, touring information and more. The featured artists are not necessary the winners or finalists of the competition. Therefore, there are ample opportunities for exposure whether an artist wins or not.
Judging is based on excellence in music performance, songwriting/competition and originality. All entries submitted will receive judging sheets containing comments and ratings by e-mail. Featured artists may be featured on our website's featured artists of the month. Entrants may send in as many songs as they wish. This is open to any artist who has a CD independently released on a record label, distributed by a major or self released. Winners are selected by a panel of established artists and industry professionals.
Winners and finalists of the Awards will be featured in the IAMA website and e-newsletters, read by music press, talent buyers, promoters and other industry insiders.
