LOS ANGELES (Hawino Records) - Bilingual rap-metal pioneers, downset., proudly hit the road this summer on the 31-date "Projekt Revolution" tour (along side Snoop Dogg, Linkin' Park, Ghostaface and others; tour scheduled follows), in support of their latest CD, Universal, on Seattle-based Hawino Records. Renown L.A. graffiti artist, AXIS (who has worked with MTV, Wutang, among others), will also create live art on stage while downset. performs on several east coast dates.

The reemergence of the band in the scene, after a short hiatus, marks the strength and integrity that has been held high in the eyes and ears of fans and believers; and while their previous efforts have sold close to 300,000 copies worldwide, Universal is set to follow suit.
Tracks like "Forever", "All Crews", "Black Glock", and "Jumpin' Off", showcase the uncompromising anger and gritty reality downset. fans have learned to expect.

Founded in Los Angeles in the late 1980's as part of the thriving hardcore scene, downset. has evolved into an icon of sorts. As the original blenders of rap, funk, hardcore, punk, metal, and socially aware lyrics, they draw influences from Black Flag to Black Sabbath, Public Enemy to Bob Marley.
