Olly's rise to fame began after he auditioned in 2009 for Britain's top singing competition show, The X Factor. Simon Cowell said it inspired "the easiest yes I've ever given." In a short amount of time Murs has achieved international success, including two double platinum albums and four #1 singles in the UK. The British superstar, to date, has sold over 5 million records internationally. Olly celebrated a rare double #1 with his latest UK album RIGHT PLACE RIGHT TIME and single "Troublemaker" simultaneously topping the UK album chart and UK singles chart, respectively.

Entertainment Weekly featured Olly as one of their 15 new stars they love, and RIGHT PLACE RIGHT TIME is one of USA TODAY's Albums to Watch. Olly's US debut album features new tracks from Olly's 3rd #1 UK album, also titled RIGHT PLACE RIGHT TIME, as well as tracks from his double platinum sophomore UK album IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW (see below for full track list). Olly has co-written the entire album in both the UK and US, collaborating with the likes of Steve Robson , Claude Kelly , Wayne Hector , TMS and Andrew Frampton . Olly has also written three songs with his friend, singer/songwriter and fellow Essex boy, Ed Drewett ("Glad You Came," All Time Low, The Wanted).
This past summer Olly played to hundreds of thousands of fans as the special guest opener on global superstars One Direction's sold-out 2012 US tour. Olly has performed on NBC's the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, ABC's Good Morning America and will debut "Troublemaker" on LIVE with Kelly and Michael on Wednesday January 23 on ABC. Olly will also be making an appearance on the fifth season of the CW series 90210. In the episode set to premiere in April, Olly plays himself and will perform two songs, "Troublemaker," and "Right Place Right Time."
