If Brian Wilson's announcement to play the songs of Smile, the legendary, shelved Beach Boys album wasn't enough, a musical titled Good Vibrations will feature Beach Boys tunes as its score. The production won't chroncicle the sordid Beach Boys back story, however, as it focuses on a couple's romantic entanglements in Southern California. The musical, which is called a work in progress, was workshopped at Vassar College in New York, for a four-show run. American Idol wash-up Justin Guarini played the lead role, though producers haven't settled on a leading man for the Broadway production of the show. Good Vibrations will tentatively open in January.
