NEW YORK (www.nickijaine.com) - Nicki Jaine will join
Black Tape For A Blue Girl on their upcoming tour in September, contributing guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals to the band, as well as opening for them at various shows, performing material from her current release "of pigeons and other curiosities".
"Black Tape For A Blue Girl is a brilliant band and playing with them gives me the unique opportunity to delve into their art from the inside." Jaine said. "Working with them has given me a whole new perspective on arrangements, songwriting and performing. I'm enjoying practicing their material and I really look forward to performing live with such an eclectic group of musicians."
On August 31, Black Tape For A Blue Girl will release their 9th album, "Halo Star," on Projekt Records. Nicki Jaine will join veterans Sam Rosenthal (electronics), Bret Helm (vocals/acoustic guitar), and Elysabeth Grant (vocals/viola), as well as new touring members Bart Helm (electric/acoustic guitar) and J. DeWolfe (percussion).
The "Halo Star" tour features a rotating lineup of opening acts, including Nicki Jaine, Audra, Drop Black Sky, Legion Within, and Dorien Campbell & the Salame Strings.
