FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. (DKMC press release) - On Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 7:30pm, popular Jazz/R & B performer Jeffrey Osbourne will perform at the James L. Knight Center located at 400 SE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33131. Opening for Osbourne is the BBS ALLSTARS featuring major players from popular reggae bands UB40, the Original Wailers, and Nori Nori.
Tickets are $30-$100 with higher tickets including an after concert reception with the musicians. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, all Spec's Music Stores, and the box office at 305-372-4634.

Jeffrey Osbourne began his professional singing career in 1969 with a popular funk and soul group called Love Men Ltd., later shortened to LTD. Osbourne was originally brought on as the drummer and eventually became the lead vocalist. After more than ten years with the band, he went out on his own.
His solo career produced such Top 40 hits as "Don't You Get So Mad" "Everytime I Move I Lose", "Stay With Me Tonight", and "Love Power" performed with Dionne Warwick. Osbourne's solo career has brought him five gold and platinum albums including Stay With Me Tonight, Aymuk and Only Human. He also recorded an album of duets with popular singer James Ingram, and scored an international hit with "On the Wings of Love" in 1982.

The BBS ALLSTARS are known as "Ambassadors"or "soup" of reggae music with such diverse backgrounds and influence, ranging from UB40 to Nori Nori to Bob Marley's original Wailers. BBS's all-star lineup consists of front man Robbie (vocals, guitar), Patrick Roger (bass) Julian St. Rose (drums, programming) Devin Marsh (keyboards, vocals), professor "Robin Hood" Arenth (guitars) and recent additions UB40 brass wizard Patrick Tenyue and percussion monster Big Tony.
With more than 10 top twenty hits between them, ROLLING STONE magazine has called this group "a journey into the roots of classic and contemporary music".
Their performance at Sunfest was featured and aired nationwide on VH1 along with Ziggy Marely, Sean Paul & Maxi Priest. Other performances have included stints with special guest's Clarence Clemens, Sting, NSYNC, Eric Clapton, Bobby Keys, live showcases on the Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, and opened several shows for The Rolling Stones.
