NASHVILLE, TN. (www.ibma.org) - The final list of nominees has been announced for the 15th Annual International Bluegrass Music Awards, hosted by bluegrass veterans Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski and scheduled to take place October 7th, at the Kentucky Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Artists receiving the most nominations include The Del McCoury Band, Alison Krauss + Union Station and Blue Highway.

Eight-time Entertainers of the Year The Del McCoury Band leads the way with twelve nominations including Entertainer, Vocal Group, Instrumental Group, Album of the Year for It's Just the Night, Male Vocalist for Del McCoury, and individual nods for other members of the band including Rob McCoury (banjo), Mike Bub (bass), Jason Carter (fiddle) and Ronnie McCoury (mandolin).
Members of the group participated on three separate records which received nominations for Recorded Event of the Year - Life of Sorrow, Livin' Lovin' Losin': Songs of the Louvin Brothers and WhiteHouse.

Alison Krauss + Union Station cap off a year of great successes by receiving an impressive nine nominations including Entertainer of the Year, Instrumental Group, Vocal Group, Female Vocalist of the Year for Alison, Male Vocalist for Dan Tyminski and individual instrumental award nods for band members Jerry Douglas (Dobro), Barry Bales (bass) and Ron Block (banjo).
Alison also participated on the project Livin' Lovin' Losin': Songs of the Louvin Brothers that received a nomination for Recorded Event of the Year.

Blue Highway garners seven nominations including Vocal Group, Instrumental Group, Album for Wondrous Love, Song of the Year for "Seven Sundays in a Row" (writers Wayne Taylor, Kim Williams & Larry Shell), Gospel Recorded Performance for Wondrous Love and Instrumental Album for Rob Ickes' project Big Time also featuring Blue Highway as well as a nod for Ickes on Dobro.

Several other groups received five or more nominations: Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and Mountain Heart.
The recipients of the 2004 International Bluegrass Music Awards will be broadcast by radio around the world to more than 300 U.S. markets and 14 foreign networks, thanks to the sponsorship of Sirius Satellite Radio, MerleFest, Sugar Hill Records, GHS Strings and Deering Banjos.
