NASHVILLE, TN. (RCA Records) - For RCA's Clay Walker, Labor Day weekend was labor intensive. Walker played to a hometown crowd Saturday night at Houston's Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and was joined by pal and Houston Astros' pitcher, Roger Clemens. Clemens enjoyed the show from the wings and showed that in addition to his pitching skills he's a solid kicker. The six time Cy Young Award winner helped propel numerous beach balls into the crowd during the island themed Walker hit, "Then What."

From Houston Walker and company took an overnight flight to Boston for a repeat concert performance at the Deutsche Bank PGA Championship on Sunday. Walker played the event last year and was asked back to once again perform for the golfers and volunteers before they headed into the final round.

From New England it was a bittersweet trip to Indianapolis for the 50th anniversary celebration of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). In addition to marking the organization's anniversary, the event was a tribute to former NHRA rookie of the year, driver Darrell Russell who was killed in a race in early July. Also a Houston native, Russell once served a brief stint as Walker's tour manager so it was appropriate that Walker was present to say a few words about his friend before singing the national anthem in front of a crowd of 70,000 at the Indianapolis Speedway. Following his performance Walker was invited to stand on the starting line for a very up close and personal race experience.
Walker is back home in Texas for a few days before hitting concert stops in California, Arizona, Ohio and Indiana.
