NEW YORK (www.districtband.com) - District, an emerging band with one of the freshest sounds of the year, has revamped its website in anticipation of their October, self-titled release.

The website for the band District has been revamped in anticipation for their self-titled October release. With a sound that has been described as "a breath of fresh air", District involves numerous styles and sounds from the likes of Guster, Something Corporate, John Mayer, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to create a genuinely unique, honest, and emotional sound. The website www.districtband.com has been designed by drummer Aaron Dempsey, who has also done graphic design for many other sites such as www.pkiunlimited.com.

The new album was recorded privately in Carmel, IN and mastered in Tuscon, AZ. The album will be manufactured by OasisCD Manufacturing. The self-titled compact disc will be available for sale on the band's website, Amazon.com, Target.com, as well as various other online digital distributors. Songs from the new album include the emotional hit "Best Day", "Down", and "Can't Wait 'till It Rains". The song 'Runaway' currently can be accessed on the band's website by joining the District message board. According to one District fan, District has 'a sound that is not easily placed with the bands of today…making District, in my opinion, one of the best new things of the year.'

District is based out of Indianapolis, IN. The band is comprised of singer Nick Steele, 20, guitarist Ryan Dempsey, 20, bassist Tom Anderson, 20, and drummer Aaron Dempsey, 17. District, previously Square Moon Conspiracy, have performed at numerous venues in and around Indianapolis, IN. The band plans to heavily promote the new album once released in October. A summer tour is also in the works.
