NEW YORK (www.fulloutfreak.com) - Fusing energetic, edgy modern rock with the song-based, power pop sensibilities of Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters and Butch Walker, New Jersey/NY pop/rock quartet, Full Out Freak is a band about which no assumptions should be made. The quartet's curious name actually came from lyrics in one of guitarist Will's early songs. 'We dug those lyrics,' says Full Out Freak singer Joey, and thought the F.O.F. initials were catchy and attention grabbing. As far as giving people the wrong impression of what we're about prior to hearing us, we actually liked the irony of the name implying something heavy when our sound is so energetic and melodic. Our music is upbeat, feel-good rock-n-roll. What makes Full Out Freak different from other melodic, modern rock bands is a palpable chemistry evident in the band members' dynamic interrelation, which carries over into every aspect of the music, on stage and off. Full Out Freak has a very aggressive NYC/NJ gig schedule in September. 'Originally, we only had two gigs scheduled,' says FOF bassist Eric. 'Then we were invited by two other clubs to play for members of the music industry. The bookers say they are trying to team us up with bands that will be a good fit for what we are doing. It feels great to have the clubs asking us to come back and play their rooms again. So far, everywhere we have played has greeted us with open arms. We're totally excited!' Full Out Freak's schedule is as follows: September 16th — 10:00 PM CBGB (New York City) September 20th – 9:00 PM Arlene Grocery (New York City) September 28th – Maxwell's 10:00 PM (New Jersey) September 29th – Tribeca Rock Club 9:00 PM (New York City) Be sure to log onto www.fulloutfreak.com for more information and song clips.
