New York Psych/Shoegaze Legend Daniel Chavis (The Vedlt) Returns With New Single And Two Exclusive London Shows
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Goldmine Recordings) North Carolina's pioneering shoegaze psychedelic rockers, The Veldt, were formed by identical twin brothers singer/guitarist Daniel and guitarist Danny Chavis, in 1991 The Veldt quickly became the "must see attraction" of the quirky art-rock scene in Chapel Hill, NC (which also held bands like Superchunk, Polvo and Dillon Fence in its ranks).

The Veldt have collaborated with Jesus & Mary Chain , The Cocteau twins and A.R.Kane and have shared the stage with many 90's exponents of rock and psychedelia including The Pixies, Lush, Oasis,The Church and Echo and The Bunnymen.

Veteran singer Daniel Chavis, front man of The Veldt, will embark upon a month long EU/UK promo tour in support of their new single "Resurrection Hymns" (Out now) .

Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, The Veldt have come to be known as Southern purveyors of the "Shoegaze" sound, their musical path often steered towards dream pop from the likes of The Jesus and Mary Chain (who remixed their single "Soul in A Jar", featured on MTV), A.R.Kane and most notably Robin Guthrie (The Cocteau Twins) who will be featured on the band's new LP.

Marking nearly 16 years of new material, This time around after relocating to New York The Chavis brothers pushed their musical boundaries with more electronica and soundscape influenced back drops to create texture with Daniel's soulful falsetto croon with TV On The Radio's David Sitek on production duties and guest appearances from Mos Def and Lady Miss Kier of Delite fame.

With a full European tour for upcoming full length LP slated to tour Europe Spring 2014, be sure to catch these two exclusive shows in up close and personal surroundings.
