NEW YORK (LIFETIME Television/ www.lifetimetv.com) - LIFETIME Television will once again bring together some of the industry's most popular musical performers to champion the fight against breast cancer with the fifth "WomenRock!" concert, it was announced today by Marian Effinger, Vice President of Reality Programming.

Legendary rock group Blondie, "American Idol" superstar Kelly Clarkson, hot R&B group En Vogue, rock and roll sensation Shirley Manson of Garbage, multi-faceted performer Angie Stone and talented pop trio Wilson Phillips will perform at this year's concert. Hosted by Vivica A. Fox, star of LIFETIME's popular drama series "MISSING," this year's event will feature songs from the '80s, '90s and today. The presenters include Thora Birch, Linda Dano & Nancy Glass, Fran Drescher, Florence Henderson and Denise Richards, all of whom have appeared on the network and will unite for this special event celebrating LIFETIME's 20th anniversary as the leading women's cable television network.

Produced by The Gurin Company and 25/7 Productions with Executive Producers Phil Gurin ("Miss Universe," "Miss USA") and Dave Broome ("Jingle Ball Rock," "2003 Radio Music Awards"), "WomenRock!" airs Thursday, October 28th, 11:00 PM - 12:30 AM (ET/PT) on LIFETIME Television.

In combination with "WomenRock!," LIFETIME hosted a Stop Breast Cancer for Life Heroes luncheon honoring 26 women from around the country who have battled breast cancer and helped make a difference on the front lines against this deadly disease. Eric McCormack, Carson Daly and Christina Applegate's mothers were among those honored for their courage in the fight against breast cancer. The hero recognition is one part of Lifetime Television's "Stop Breast Cancer for Life" public awareness and advocacy campaign, now in its 10th year, providing women with lifesaving information about the tools for detection and inspiration to take action to eradicate this disease. The campaign offers women the most up-to-date, comprehensive information about breast cancer - on-air, online and through community outreach. As part of its commitment to end "drive-through" mastectomies, LIFETIME has collected nearly nine million signatures, via lifetimetv.com, urging Washington to end this outrageous practice. The "Stop Breast Cancer for Life" campaign sponsors are: Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Olay, Subaru and Target.
"For the past decade, LIFETIME has championed the fight against breast cancer," commented Effinger. "Everyone has someone in their life who has been affected by this disease. It is with tremendous pride that each year, we are able to put together an exciting show with such talented performers who dedicate themselves to getting the message out and raising awareness."

Phil Gurin is known as one of the industry's leading producers of television specials, reality series and game shows. Through his production company, The Gurin Company, he has executive produced and produced such successful shows as "The Weakest Link," as well as numerous television specials including "Miss Universe," "Miss USA," the live music variety show "Voice of a Child," "Kiss LIVE: The Ultimate Halloween Party" and the hit revival of the relationship series "All New 3's a Crowd."
In addition, he executive produced, along with television legend Fred Silverman, the revival of the primetime quiz show "Twenty-One," as well as nearly two dozen reality shows.
