Young The Giant Launches New Single "Mind Over Matter"; Young The Giant Will Join Kings Of Leon As Main Support On North American 2014 Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fueled By Ramen recording group Young The Giant has announced the launch of their brand new single "Mind Over Matter." The band will perform the national television premiere of the song on NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on May 5th (check local listings). A companion music video directed by Tim Nackashi (Death Cab For Cutie, TV on the Radio, OK Go) is currently in pre-production. "Mind Over Matter" is the title track from the Southern California-based rock band's acclaimed second album, and follow-up to the Top 5 Modern Rock hit "It's About Time." The album "MIND OVER MATTER" was a top 10 debut on the Soundscan/Billboard 200 upon its release earlier this year and has received critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and the New York Times, who called frontman Sameer Gadhia, "one of the great contemporary rock voices."

In related news, Clear Channel will host an exclusive performance featuring Young The Giant as part of the iHeartRadio Live series, a Clear Channel entertainment production that features performances from today's top artists, on Wednesday, May 14th, at 7PM (PST) at the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles. The event will feature a live performance as well as an intimate Q&A with the band. The event will broadcast live on-air as a 30-minute special on Clear Channel ALT and AAA radio stations, with a 60-minute live video stream online across station websites and iHeartRadio.com.

On the heels of a sold out headlining tour of their own, Young The Giant will be joining Kings Of Leon as special guests on the next leg of the "Mechanical Bull Tour" (see below itinerary). The extensive run begins on July 31st at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St Louis, MO, and continues through early October. Young The Giant is also set to make a number of high profile stops at festivals such as Firefly Music Festival, Bunbury Music Festival, and Lollapalooza. Young The Giant has quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new bands in recent memory. In a glowing review of their latest album "MIND OVER MATTER," the New York Times raved how "...the group gobbles up bits of bits of several segments of rock history -- prog-rock, boogie metal, Southern rock, soft rock, new wave, dance-rock, and more -- and claims ownership of them." "MIND OVER MATTER" also earned critical applause from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and USA Today, who noted in their three-out-of-four starred review that Young The Giant's "...twin-guitar lines, buzzy synths and wide-open melodies fit together in a way that makes perfect sense." Produced by Justin Meldal Johnsen (Paramore, M83, Tegan & Sara), the album entered the Soundscan/Billboard 200 at #7. The band has supported "MIND OVER MATTER" with a number of high-profile TV appearances including performances on TBS' Conan, the famed outdoor stage of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and, most recently, CBS' Late Show with David Letterman, which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1G96f5jfOA.

Buoyed by hit singles including "Apartment" and the RIAA-gold certified smashes, "My Body" and "Cough Syrup," the Southern California-based quintet's 2010 full length debut "YOUNG THE GIANT" was a breakthrough success earning widespread acclaim from the likes of SPIN, The New Yorker, and the Wall Street Journal, which hailed the album as "a pop masterpiece with well-crafted songs, surprising arrangements and soaring vocal harmonies."

Young The Giant spent much of 2011 and 2012 traveling the globe, with sold out headline tours, top-billing on mtvU's inaugural "Woodies Tour," and show-stopping appearances at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza. A dynamic and distinctive live act, the band also made a series of major TV performances, spanning ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and NBC's TODAY and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to 2011's MTV Video Music Awards and their own edition of MTV Unplugged.
