Beverly Hills, Ca. (Writers Club Press) - Author Francee Greer Williams has a new website featuring her book "The Abyssinian Prince" (Writers Club Press ISBN: 0-595-14538-8). The book is a fascinating novel based on the true life story of George Polgreen Bridgetower, a master black violinist who performed for Kings and played with the great maestro Beethoven, yet he died impoverished and alone.

"The Abyssinian Prince" begins in 19th Century London when one of the world's greatest musicians, George Polgreen Bridgetower, dies at the age of 78, in poverty and obscurity. At his side, his constant companion, his violin, Upon his demise, a letter is sent to his only living relative, his daughter. The beautiful Countess Marie Ann receives the letter and is bewildered; George Bridgetower is unknown to her. She is compelled to attend his funeral and discovers the man who claims to be her father is of African descent, a Black Man. She then finds herself forced to find the man's true daughter or accept a heritage that will destroy her reputation in her aristocratic world. Her quest takes her on a journey as she uncovers the life of a man who was a master from the moment he placed a violin to his chin at the age of five. He performed before Kings and lived as a Prince. As a man, he performed with giants like Beethoven, who composed a sonata for him. He was also a loving fat! her who was forced to give up his child, the only person he loved more than the music. He died alone, but not in vain. His life is a testimony to the world what a person of African descent can accomplish if he is not excluded based on the color of his skin.

"This is a book about a great Black musician that time has forgotten", says the author, Francee Greer Williams. "He was one of the greatest violinists that ever lived, yet his name was erased from music history. I think it's time the world knows of George Polgreen Bridgetower."

Her new web site is designed with interesting facts about Bridgetower, along with an actual copy of his death certificate and a music file that plays the Kreutzer Sonata, (the musical piece that was written by Beethoven for Bridgetower).

Francee Greer Williams is a native of Los Angeles, California. She is an award winning screenwriter, actress, wife and mother. Her mission and passion in life is to bring George Polgreen Bridgetower out of time's shadow, and to return his name to the annuals of music history.

"The Abyssinian Prince" is available through Amazon.com, iuniverse.com, by request from bookstores nationwide, and the author's new Web site at: https://www.franceegreerwilliams.com. "The Abyssinian Prince" retails for $12.95. ISBN: 0-595-14538-8. Review copies available upon request. Author is available for interviews.
