Curse of Chucky reunites franchise creators Don Mancini and
David Kirschner as Chucky returns to horrify viewers in an all-new, unrated chapter of the blood-soaked suspense saga. Written and directed by Mancini,
Curse of Chucky finds a family imperiled by the murderous doll that launched a generation's nightmares - determined to finish a job that was started long ago. The film stars Fiona Dourif ( The Master , "True Blood"), A Martinez ("Longmire," "General Hospital"),
Danielle Bisutti ( Get Smart , "CSI: Miami ") and Brennan Elliott ("Flight 93,"
Double Jeopardy ), with Brad Dourif ( The Lord of the Rings ) once again providing the voice of Chucky, the homicidal plaything inhabited by the spirit of notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray .
Two-time Emmy Award winning composer LoDuca is no stranger to large orchestral action, adventure, fantasy, and thriller music. He has scored director Sam Raimiʼs Evil Dead Trilogy, and currently composes for the Starz Entertainment series "Spartacus" (produced by
Raimi/Tapert/ Donen and Steven DeKnight ), and Turner Network Televisionʼs "Leverage" (for Dean Devlin). Internationally, films include Brotherhood of the Wolf (Cesar nominee for Best Score) and Saint Ange .
LoDuca scored Patagonia (directed by Marc Evans ), which was chosen as the 2012 British entry for the Foreign Language Oscar. It also resulted in song collaborations with pop artist
Duffy and operatic baritone Bryn Terfel. Other current projects include Freaky Deaky (directed by Charles Matthau, starring Christian Slater ). Josephʼs extensive work for television is highlighted by "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys", "The Legend of the Seeker" (Emmy winner), and "Xena:
Warrior Princess" (Emmy winner). His varied career features operettas, musicals and theme songs, which have earned him five of his twelve Emmy nominations. In regards to
Curse of Chucky , LoDuca says, "my biggest thrill in scoring Chucky's return to the screen was that I had the opportunity to write him a theme, something he's never had before. A demented little jingle on a busted up toy piano seemed like the perfect choice. When I first met Don Mancini , he referenced the 60's film that inspired the elevator in the house. And when I could name it as
James Caan's film debut, I knew we were simpatico. The Gothic house-haunted by trauma inspired Nica's theme. Hope you like the décor, and that Chucky continues to scare the crap out of us for years to come."
