MOSCOW, Russia (Top40 Charts/ Theodoros Kourentzis Official Website) - Moscow based Greek conductor, Theodoros Kourentzis, will direct the Paris Opera Orchestra in a concert on June 7th at the Bastille Opera in a performance of Verdi's "Don Carlo". The opera in four acts is based on Siller's political drama and is a Graham Vicks production of 1998. Accompanying Kourentzis will be Stefano Seko in the role of Don Carlo, Dimitri Vorostofsky in the role of Rodrigo and Tamar Ivery in the role of Elizabeta. The performances will run until June 11th. Its should be noted that the Greek musician is referred to in the international press as the "great child of Russia" an was awarded for the third year in a row in March with the Russian National "Golden Mask" Award for his contribution in promoting classical music with traditional Russian instruments.
