Sierra Boggess is perhaps best known for her Broadway performances as Ariel in The
Little Mermaid and as Christine in the 25th Anniversary Engagement of The Phantom of the Opera as well as portraying Christine in the Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies.
"I am thrilled to announce that my debut solo album is my live show at 54 BELOW! I hope anyone who hears it enjoys the journey we go on together and feels inspired and awakened!" said Boggess.
Sierra is joined on a few selected songs by two members of her family: Summer Boggess on cello and her father, Mike Boggess, on an acoustic guitar he built himself. "Sierra Boggess is a stunning talent and we feel incredibly fortunate to include her debut solo recording as part of our Live at 54 BELOW album series," said Van Dean, co-founder of Broadway Records.
The music director for "Awakening: Live at 54 BELOW" is Brian Hertz and the recording is produced by Michael Moritz and executive produced by Van Dean and Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium. "
