NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Rocky Comfort) - Country music superstar Tracy Lawrence is perched atop national music trade charts, Billboard/R&R and Mediabase, with his 17th No. 1 record, "Find Out Who Your Friends Are." History was made when the song topped the charts making Lawrence the first country artist who owns his own record label, RCR (Rocky Comfort Records), to reach the coveted No. 1 position with the debut single release on that label. "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" is Lawrence's first No. 1 since 1997 when he topped the R&R chart with "Is That A Tear." His last Billboard No. 1 was with "Time Marches On" in 1996.

"I am so grateful to country radio for supporting us as an independent and helping us reach the public with my music," says Lawrence. "It's been a dream of mine for a long, long time to own my own record label, but to have a No. 1 hit with my first single release is an even bigger dream come true for me. This is an accomplishment that I don't take lightly. My brother and business partner, Laney, and I cherry-picked a team that had the vision, the enthusiasm, the guts and the persistence to make this happen. From promotion to public relations, from sales and marketing to distribution, I truly have an all-star team. "

The single was released to radio August 21, 2006 on the RCR/CO5 Nashville imprint. According to Mediabase national radio callout research, the song has ranked consistently among the Top 5 since the third week of December 2006.

The full CD, titled FOR THE LOVE, was available in stores January 30, 2007. It marked Lawrence's first studio collection in nearly three years. The CD was met with an impressive response by record buyers across the United States and Lawrence entered Billboard magazine's "Top Independent Albums" chart at No. 3, the "Top Country Albums" chart at No. 6, and "The Billboard Hot 100" albums chart at No. 53. RCR/CO5 Nashville has a distribution partnership with A2M (Artist To Market Distribution).

FOR THE LOVE features several points of interest. Among them, the title cut is a duet with Brad Arnold, lead singer of the multi-platinum group Three Doors Down. It's a song that is edgy, yet it fits very comfortably amid the other country songs included in this collection. "Speed Of Flight," a true-to-Tracy Lawrence waltz, represents the first time that Lawrence has cut a song he wrote without a co-writer. "Til I Was A Daddy Too," scheduled as the second single from FOR THE LOVE, takes a very heartfelt look at parenting and the depth of a father's love. Finally, like bookends, the CD starts and finishes with "Find Out Who Your Friends Are." One is a bonus track that features two of Lawrence's longtime friends Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.
