Lawrenceville, GA. (Top40 Charts/ Hope River Entertainment) Valerie Smith &
Liberty Pike can now be downloaded to your smart phone!
Valerie released her brand new app just in time for Christmas. It is available for free download at iTunes.
"We want to send a special thanks to bluegrass band, Nu-Blu for a great idea! The North Carolina-based band released their app earlier this month and we certainly commend them for helping to keep the bluegrass world on the cutting edge of technology," said Smith.
Valerie Smith and Becky Buller are among the nominees for the 2011 SPBGMA awards,
Valerie in the Female Vocalist of the Year (Traditional) category and Becky amongst the Fiddle Performers of the Year. The 28th annual SPBGMA
National Convention will be held in Nashville, Tenn., at the Sheraton
Music City Hotel February 3-6.
This past week Becky Buller and J. Gregory Heinke made a special trip up to the International Bluegrass
Music Museum (IBMM) in Owensboro, Ky., to film director
Gabrielle Gray and board member Ross Leazenby about the significance of
Valerie Smith's brand new record, Blame It On The Bluegrass. Video footage will be appearing on YouTube around the time of the album's release, Jan. 11, 2011.
Blame It On The Bluegrass is the first album to be recorded at the the IBMM, but it won't be the last. The museum already has plans in the works for an in-house studio and live recordings of groups involved in their annual concert series, proving, yet again, that the IBMM is a place where bluegrass history is MADE...as well as preserved.
